Job Title: Duty-Free Sales Agent
Job Purpose:
The Duty-Free Sales Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, generating sales, and maintaining a positive work environment within the Duty-Free store. This role involves identifying new customer leads, pitching prospective customers, maintaining good customer relations, pursuing new sales opportunities, and maximizing revenue by assisting customers in selecting products, promoting and selling Duty-Free items, processing transactions, managing inventory, building relationships, upselling, and adhering to regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting and assisting customers in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences.
- Promoting and selling a wide range of Duty-Free products, including fragrances, cosmetics, alcohol, tobacco, roastery, confectionery, supermarket items, toiletries, and souvenirs.
- Processing transactions, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and well-organized sales area.
- Building strong relationships with customers and providing personalized recommendations.
- Upselling and cross-selling products to enhance sales volumes.
- Adhering to all applicable customs and Duty-Free regulations.
Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome customers promptly and courteously.
- Assist customers in selecting and purchasing products.
- Provide product information and recommendations to customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively and professionally.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming environment for customers.
Reporting:
- Reporting to Shift Leader.
- Report any suspicious activities or incidents immediately to Duty Free Manager.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
Educational Qualifications:
- BA/BS University degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, or advertising sales preferred. A high school degree or equivalent is required. Fluent in the English language; knowledge of multiple languages preferred.
Professional Qualifications:
- Customer service, meeting sales goals, closing skills, self-confidence, and product knowledge.
- Positive attitude and good communication skills; able to work well with others and be a team player.
Required Experience:
- Two to three years of retail sales experience or in a similar customer service role.
- Experience in a retail or Duty-Free environment preferred.
