Safety Officer (Stormwater Drainage)

Description:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and contractors working on stormwater drainage projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for stormwater drainage projects in accordance with company and industry standards.
2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
3. Provide safety training and orientation to new employees and contractors.
4. Investigate and report on any safety incidents or near misses, and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
5. Maintain accurate records of safety training, inspections, and incidents.
6. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety measures are integrated into project plans and schedules.
7. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to stormwater drainage safety.
8. Participate in safety meetings and communicate safety-related information to project teams.
9. Proactively identify and address potential safety issues and provide recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in the construction or engineering industry or related field.
2. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
3. Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to stormwater drainage projects.
4. Certification in NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent, OSHAD - Qudorat official Registration.
