Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Dubai. As a Safety Officer at Stantec, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our employees, clients, and the general public on projects associated with Stormwater & Drainage, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks, Water Distribution Networks, Pumping Stations, and Recycling Plants.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for overall site safety, health, and environment management.
2. Prepare site safety plans & procedures and implement safety policies.
3. Conduct safety meetings at least once every month and perform site safety audits, reporting findings to management.
4. Conduct safety training and other necessary training as deemed fit by management.
5. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections and document them for reference.
6. Consult with workers and management on the best approaches to deliver a safe working environment for all workers.
7. Conduct risk assessment programs for site work activities.
8. Audit site contractors and subcontractors, and raise NCR and Accident Incident Reports.

Client Service Management:

1. Internal and external client liaison.
2. Ability to build and maintain a safety environment at the site.
3. Experience in infrastructure project HSE supervision management.

Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner. Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures. Maintain the health and safety environment at the workplace.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a safety role.
3. Experience with water utilities work.
4. Certification in NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or equivalent OSHAD Qudorat official registration.
5. Nakheel experience is preferred.
