Safety Officer

We are seeking a qualified and diligent Safety Officer to join our team in Dubai. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment by implementing and monitoring safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, and training employees on health and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and company standards.
2. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
3. Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
4. Organize and deliver safety training programs for employees, including first aid, fire safety, and equipment handling.
5. Ensure all safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and PPE is in proper working condition.
6. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
7. Collaborate with management and employees to foster a culture of safety awareness.
8. Ensure compliance with UAE safety and labor laws as well as industry-specific regulations.
9. Prepare risk assessments and assist in the development of emergency response plans.
10. Monitor and manage waste disposal, hazardous materials, and environmental concerns.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
2. NEBOSH, IOSH, or other internationally recognized safety certifications.
3. Proven experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role.
4. Strong knowledge of UAE safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to conduct risk assessments and write detailed reports.
7. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
8. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
9. Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
