Safety Officer

Job Description

1. Supervise and coordinate on all Health & Safety (H&S) related matters in the facility
2. Prepare and maintain H&S checklist identified in the facility
3. Arrange and ensure all workers are wearing proper PPE
4. Ensure timeliness and discipline during break times
5. Conduct daily rounds of the facility to identify any abnormalities and hazards; coordinate with supervisor for the same, both inside the facility and outside the perimeter
6. Maintain discipline and harmony in the facility in coordination with the supervisors and the manager
7. Bring to management's notice any indiscipline, disruptive, or dishonest conduct by workers
8. Assist in having periodic H&S training and safety awareness for all staff to encourage safe working practices; conduct safety induction training for all staff
9. Assist in recording incident and accident reports
10. Inspect, maintain, and keep records of safety equipment and tools; arrange for their periodic checkup and repair
11. Be in charge of first aid kits, keeping stock and records of items in the kits, and arranging for daily replenishment; provide first aid to staff
12. Participate in conducting evacuation drills and lead the emergency evacuation with the designated evacuation team
13. Check and ensure emergency exit doors are well maintained
14. Monitor high-risk activities in the facility
15. Implement a proper waste management system and housekeeping systems in workplaces, maintaining social hygiene
16. Perform any other tasks assigned by the department head when needed
