Safety Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Safety Officer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs and policies.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
• Deliver safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety awareness.
• Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, local regulations, and international safety standards.
• Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety improvement initiatives.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs, making adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain accurate safety records and prepare regular reports for management.
• Serve as a liaison between the company and regulatory agencies.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest safety regulations and best practices in the industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE labor laws and safety standards.
• Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to influence and educate employees at all levels of the organization.
• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH) are highly desirable.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments and hazard identification.
• Proven track record in incident investigation and reporting.
• Familiarity with occupational health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.
