Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

Conversant with the company’s HSSE Policies and commitments for compliance, pollution prevention and continual improvement of HSSE performance.

  1. Provide support and guidance in the development and implementation of HSE MS and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  2. Provide expert advice on HSE issues related to the projects day-to-day operations.
  3. Monitor and report on the Main Contractors HSE performance.
  4. Support HSE audits and studies as required.
  5. Advising on incident/accident prevention measures.
  6. Assist the Contractor in developing and implementing HSE improvements.
  7. Participate in the production of the Project Health, Safety and Environmental risk registers.
  8. Ensure that the results of inspections, audits, and actions identified from accident investigations are followed-up to ensure their timely closure.

Qualifications

Minimum BSc in Engineering or HSSE.
Demonstrated relevant experience and qualification in the onshore oil and gas industry.
Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
Minimum of 5 years proven capability in an EPC company.
Previous experience of site-based project work involving field engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, or maintenance would be an advantage.
Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred.
Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.

  6. Emergency Preparedness: Knowledge of emergency response procedures and the ability to create emergency plans.
  7. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze safety data and trends to improve safety performance.
  8. Collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional teams to promote safety initiatives and compliance.
  9. Record Keeping: Proficiency in maintaining safety records, reports, and documentation.
