Rotating Equipment Engineer

Job Summary : We are seeking a highly skilled Rotating Equipment Engineer to join a dynamic, multicultural team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing machinery-related deliverables for large-scale, complex projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient execution of engineering activities, with a focus on quality, safety, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Machinery Deliverables : Prepare and review mechanical data sheets, equipment specifications, material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and equipment selection reports.
2. Schedule and Quality Management : Ensure that all machinery-related activities adhere to the project schedule, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
3. Technical Recommendations : Review and approve technical recommendations related to machinery and equipment.
4. Resource Management : Manage and control man-hours to ensure efficient use of resources throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Cost-Effective Solutions : Propose and implement cost-effective solutions while maintaining engineering integrity.
6. Collaboration with Other Departments : Work closely with lead engineers from other disciplines, as well as procurement and planning teams, to coordinate project activities.
7. Compliance and Standards : Ensure that all deliverables comply with project QHSE plans and internal engineering processes and standards.
8. Support to Discipline Department : Assist the department manager with various departmental activities and contribute to project close-out and lessons learned.

Qualifications and Experience :

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in oil and gas projects, with experience across conceptual, FEED, and EPC phases.
3. Extensive experience in preparing the following deliverables :
4. Mechanical Data Sheets
5. Mechanical Equipment Specifications
6. Material Requisitions
7. Technical Bid Evaluations
8. Equipment Selection Reports
9. Proven experience working as a Rotating Equipment Engineer throughout all project phases.
10. Solid knowledge of process compressors, pumps, and their drivers. Experience with gas turbines and generators is desirable.
11. Familiarity with international standards and knowledge of regional standards is an advantage.
12. Experience working with OEMs, clients, project management teams, and auditors.
13. Ability to make independent decisions with minimal supervision.
14. Excellent interpersonal skills, self-confidence, and the ability to work under pressure.
15. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
