Job description

As a Room Attendant, you will have a significant influence on our guests' experience. Your attention to detail in the preparation of their rooms is essential and will appeal to many of their senses: touch, smell, sight, and hearing. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring guest rooms and bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and prepared to the highest standard, exceeding guest expectations.
  • Making beds with fresh linens and ensuring all bedding is crisp and wrinkle-free.
  • Restocking guest amenities including toiletries, tea and coffee supplies, and minibar items.
  • Vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and dusting all surfaces.
  • Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms including toilets, showers, bathtubs, and sinks.
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or damaged items to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Responding promptly and courteously to guest requests for additional amenities or services.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of housekeeping storage areas and trolleys.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Respecting guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Participating in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices and new cleaning techniques.
  • Assisting with laundry duties as required, including sorting, washing, and folding linens.
  • Contributing to the hotel's sustainability efforts by following eco-friendly cleaning practices and minimising waste.

Your meticulous approach to room preparation will ensure that our guests' experience starts off on the right note, setting the tone for an exceptional stay at our establishment.


Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year working experience in housekeeping.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Fair English communication skills.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and their safe usage.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Willingness to adhere to grooming and uniform standards.
  • Basic computer skills for logging completed tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Discretion when dealing with guest belongings and information.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
