Oversee the provision of procurement services for categories and drive vendor management activities.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development procurement strategy and manage related initiatives/projects.
Establish procurement metrics, standards, and objectives in coordination with organizational objectives.
Manage the development of a long-term plan and strategy for categories managed under the DET umbrella.
Oversee the category relationships between DET and large suppliers; attend to business-critical meetings.
Act as a project manager in category management projects to optimize ranges and related merchandising.
Manage the portfolio management activities for all brands and ensure that appropriate strategies are developed and implemented for each.
Oversee the analysis activities to build an understanding of organizational needs and drive data-driven sourcing activities.
Oversee the collection and response development activities for inquiries received from both key business stakeholders; lead the resolution of escalated cases.
Manage the end-to-end contracting process and take the lead during the execution of strategic/high-importance contracts.
Oversee the development of RFPs according to organizational needs and lead their evaluation and contract terms negotiations.
Formulate and sign contracts with suppliers in coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders (e.g., legal, finance, government entities).
Manage vendor and supplier relationships and support contract negotiations to establish lasting and profitable relationships.
Manage the development and maintenance of vendor lists and databases and vendor performance management processes.
Manage the improvement activities for procurement processes and systems and present them to higher management.
