RN Shift Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Supervision of all nursing personnel and nursing related functions on a specific shift.
2. Assessing staffing and resident needs and directing care.
3. Works predominately with an adult geriatric population.
4. Serves as a role model for staff through provision of safe, effective, and efficient nursing care.
5. Supervises clinical aspects of nursing.
6. Manages day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department.
7. Interfaces with others to ensure efficient unit operations.
8. Seeks opportunities for own growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain clinical competency.

Qualifications:

1. Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.
3. 1-3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus.
4. Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or skilled nursing facility.
5. Must possess a current CPR license.
