Amazing opportunity to relocate to UK as a Risk Manager. This position is for one of our major clients in UK. If your application is successful, the employer will sponsor your Work Visa to the UK. This is a full-time on-site role.

Job Summary:

The Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing risks across the organization to ensure the company's operations and investments are protected. The role involves developing and implementing risk management strategies, policies, and procedures, as well as ensuring the company's operations comply with relevant laws and regulations. The Risk Manager will work closely with various departments to manage potential threats to the organization's assets, reputation, and financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks (financial, operational, regulatory, technological, etc.) that could impact the company's operations or profitability.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop, implement, and maintain risk mitigation strategies, controls, and solutions to minimize identified risks.
  • Risk Reporting: Prepare and present risk assessments, reports, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders regularly.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Stay updated on regulatory changes and adapt risk management practices accordingly.
  • Incident Management: Develop protocols for responding to risk events or crises, including business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various departments (e.g., finance, IT, legal, operations) to assess and address risks in their areas.
  • Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk management practices and controls.
  • Training and Awareness: Provide training and guidance to employees about risk management policies and practices to foster a risk-aware culture.
  • Insurance Management: Oversee the company's insurance policies and claims, ensuring adequate coverage for potential risks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., FRM, CRM) is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in risk management, financial services, insurance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with risk assessment tools and software.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in managing risk in [specific industry, e.g., finance, healthcare, manufacturing].
  • Familiarity with data analytics and risk management software tools.
  • Experience in crisis management and business continuity planning.
  • Leadership experience, particularly in developing and leading cross-functional teams.
