Risk Engineer - Loss Adjuster - Insurance

We are currently recruiting for a Risk Engineer - Insurance Commercial Lines for our client to be based out of their Dubai office.

Job Purpose :

The job holder is responsible for carrying out loss surveys and adjustments relating to cargo, machinery, fire and allied perils, hull, pre-shipment, loading / off loading supervision, pre-underwriting for hull, and ensuring that the results are communicated and understood by relevant department.

Responsibilities:

Conducts loss inspections as and when receives requests.

Conducts claims adjustments as and when receives requests.

Performs the day-to-day operations of the Department, and executes the work processes as per policies and procedures in order to achieve high performance standards

Assessment and adjustment of Claims for commercial lines products

Recommends Loss Adjusters/ Surveyors where needed.

Conducts Loss Surveys and prepares Survey Reports.

Collects quotations for repairs, review / study to determine best possible option and report to manager.

Arrange joint surveys by inviting insured / carriers / freight forwarders at seaport / airport / warehouses and sites.

Preparation of loss survey as well as claim adjustment reports as per company standards.

Requirements:

Preferred Professional certifications: Insurance and loss adjusting certifications are preferred

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience including loss surveying and claims adjusting in a loss adjusting firm in UAE

Full Professional Proficiency in English language

Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in engineering discipline is minimum An Electrical Engineering graduate is preferred.
