RIS/PACS/VNA Clinical Application Engineer - (1 Year Contractual Role)

Job Summary:

The RIS/PACS/VNA Clinical Application Engineer serves as the primary liaison between Fuji, customer radiology, clinical departments, and IT teams to ensure optimal utilization and performance of imaging systems.

This role involves the configuration and support of RIS, PACS and VNA with a focus on enhancing clinical workflows

Key Responsibilities:

Application Configuration & Optimization:

• Configure and customize RIS, PACS, and VNA applications to align with radiology and clinical workflows to meet their objectives regarding ensuring efficient image acquisition, storage, retrieval, and reporting.
• Implement and manage hanging protocols, display settings, and clinical tools for radiologists.

Training & User Support:

• Provide end-user training and support on system functionalities, including image viewing, reporting, and workflow features.
• Offer ongoing application support and troubleshoot user issues related to RIS, PACS, and VNA applications.

System Integration & Testing:

• Collaborate with the customer's IT teams and vendors to ensure proper integration of RIS, PACS, VNA, and imaging modalities (CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound).
• Conduct system and workflow testing during upgrades, new installations, and enhancements.

Quality & Compliance:

• Monitor system performance and user feedback to drive continuous improvements.
• Should have necessary knowledge about healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, patient data security) and imaging standards.
• Assist in audits and quality assurance processes related to imaging applications during and post implementation.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience working with RIS, PACS, VNA, or imaging applications in a clinical environment.
• Strong understanding of radiology workflows, imaging modalities, and clinical operations.
• Familiarity with DICOM, HL7, IHE, and PACS administration tools.
• Proficiency in clinical systems integration and troubleshooting imaging application issues.
• Excellent communication and training skills to work with clinical and IT teams.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to enhance system performance and user experience.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid/Onsite setup depending on organization requirements.
• Potential for on-call support and travel to clinical sites.
