Demonstrate work methods when necessary and from time to time actually perform critical tasks which subordinates do not have the skill or experience to perform. Makes sketches for instructional purposes.
Participate in the training and development of subordinates.
Supervise work progress and safeguard against waste of materials and man-hours. Monitor attendance and punctuality of the crew.
Ensure that subordinates are properly equipped, and that equipment issued or allocated is correctly used and maintained in a safe and effective manner.
Responsible for maintaining safety of the site for both the crew and others needing access to it.
Investigate any grievances of subordinates to determine the real cause of difficulties and handle them appropriately.
Skills Required • Good standard of written and spoken English • All offshore safety training requirements • 8-10 years experience in the field of rigging activities in the offshore oil industry.
