Undertakes checks on specific items of electrical equipment at an assigned location and in accordance with an established schedule and verbal instructions to ensure their correct functioning. Reports to Electrician (Rig) any items that are functioning incorrectly or are not functioning. Undertakes repairs to such equipment when requested by the electrician. Such items include:
Checks and tops up batteries when necessary.
Participates in the investigating of breakdowns by assisting in the isolating and stripping down of equipment using pullers, bearing presses and the like.
Assists in the installation of cables for electricity and telephones, assisting and becoming familiar with the records and drawings that must be maintained after each activity.
Participates in rig moves by checking assigned items from the rig moves preparation list and assists in the disconnection/reconnection of electrical equipment as instructed. Stands by to assist in providing power when necessary.
Performs the duties and responsibilities in the implementation of the Company's integrated Health and Safety Environmental Program and Asset Integrity Management Systems identified and defined in the following page.
Performs related duties as assigned, such as powering off or powering up items of equipment when requested, cleaning lamps and electrical panels. Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.

Minimum Qualification
Completion of Secondary (12 years) education followed by 2 years' full time study leading to a Diploma in electric technology.
