Evaluate patients' medical history, symptoms, and perform physical examinations
Diagnose rheumatic diseases, such as arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, and other autoimmune disorders
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood work, imaging scans, and biopsies
Develop individualized treatment plans based on the patient's condition and medical history
Prescribe medications, therapies, and lifestyle changes to manage symptoms and slow the progression of the disease
Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists, occupational therapists, and orthopedic surgeons, to provide comprehensive care
Educate patients and their families about rheumatic diseases, treatment options, and self-management strategies
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Stay updated on the latest research, advancements, and best practices in the field of rheumatology
Adhere to professional and ethical standards in patient care
Requirements:
Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Rheumatologist
Residency training in Internal Medicine and Fellowship training in Rheumatology
Board certification or eligibility in Rheumatology
Proven experience in diagnosing and treating rheumatic diseases
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
Empathy and compassion towards patients and their families
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
