Lead reverse engineering activities throughout the process from inquiry stage to completion and ensure their conformity with ISO/DIN/API engineering standards.
Design and calculations for various engineering problems at the workshop or site.
Assist in purchase of materials for RE/spare parts projects and liaise with subcontractors in relation to the QC and engineering problems.
Provision of QC documentation for the reverse engineering projects involving machine shop step inspections and final QC package detailing the dimensional and materials specifications.
Review of manufacturing/repair drawings for the RE team members to ensure its conformity with ISO/DIN/API engineering standards and the suitability for assembly.
Assist workshop supervisor in manufacturing and repair of parts in regards to machine shop activities.
Responsible for development and upkeeping of company’s drawings database to ensure ease in accessibility in order to streamline the operations and production activities.
Responsible for documentation and process improvements based on the ideal of continuous improvement and documenting “Lesson Learnt Logs” also detailing the remedial actions.
Carryout QC inward inspection of the materials for reverse engineering spare parts projects.
Overseeing subcontractor repair and machining activities by carrying out site visits and ensure the works are ongoing as per engineering standards and correct procedures.
Supervise a team of engineers to provide technical support in relation to the mechanical design, reverse engineering and spare part projects.
Carrying out internal trainings for RE team members in order to equip them to work more independently and improve productivity.
Impeller Calculations and Design (As required)
Stress Analysis of Re-Engineered or new components (As required)
Carrying out Root Cause Analysis in case of equipment failure and creation of RCA reports.
Dimensional & Geometrical inspections of material/parts/repairs carried out at sub-contractor workshops.
Carrying out NDT (DPI, Hardness Testing, UT).
Preparation of Non-Conformity Reports in case of non-conformance by the supplier/sub-contractor.
Condition Reporting of inward/outward equipment (including electrical section reports).
Desired Candidate Profile
Associate's or equivalent technical degree.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in drafting and 3D scanning is preferred.
Requirements include PC literacy, a working knowledge of NX Unigraphic and other computer software used to complete design assignments.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Solid understanding of rotating equipment and mechanical processes will be advantageous.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
