Position Statement:

The Revenue Accounting Specialist is responsible for providing Revenue Accounting service to hotels across the Middle East and Africa that are supported by the UAE Finance Centre of Excellence (COE). The role reports to the Revenue Accounting Supervisor.

Position Summary:

  1. Confirming all positions of revenue and preparing the Daily Income Audit Reports.
  2. Reviewing and approving reports in the Daily Income Audit Report bundle. Following up with hotel teams to ensure all Revenue Accounting control reports are uploaded to Docuware and approvals are obtained.
  3. Raising revenue and reallocating revenue based on the request of an authorised finance lead.
  4. Reconciling revenue related taxes and ensuring the timely reporting of these to property so the taxes can be communicated to government bodies.
  5. Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Revenue Accounting related balance sheet accounts.
  6. Reconciling daily credit card movements and posting credit card receipts.
  7. Resolving variances in credit card reconciliations with COE and hotel teams.
  8. Driving process improvement & system automation—identifying smarter, more efficient work methods by discovering automation opportunities, optimizing workflows, and challenging conventional practices.
  9. Other tasks as required by business operations.

Qualifications

Please list specific qualifications/experience, knowledge, skills and abilities needed for this position.

The success in this role will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:

  1. Accounting knowledge, in particular Revenue Accounting.
  2. Systems knowledge, in particular Navision, OnQ/OA and Excel.
  3. Fluent in English (written & verbal) – additional languages (French/Arabic) a plus.
  4. Strong communicator—able to liaise effectively with customers, hotel teams, and internal stakeholders.
  5. Process improvement mindset—always looking for smarter ways to work and drive automation.
  6. Inquisitive & proactive – willing to learn, ask the right questions, and challenge the status quo by questioning the Why and How.
  7. Organised and ready to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  8. Ability to work cohesively with others, both in the office and remotely with hotel Team Members.
  9. Ability to learn multiple systems, therefore must be willing to accept new challenges.

Required Qualifications

  1. Minimum Education: High school graduate.
  2. Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years as a General Accountant or Income Auditor.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Education: University graduate and/or accounting qualification.
  2. Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years each as a General Accountant and Revenue Accounting.
