Job Description

To ensure smooth and efficient operations in the retail department in relation to the company core process thus, directly impacting on the delivery of the experience. This position plays an essential role in establishing and up keeping the efficient running of day-to-day store and stock room operations front and back of house. Ensures the store and stock rooms are replenished and clean. Takes a proactive role in adhering to the Miral Experiences service standards as well as leisure facility branding guidelines where required. Displaying excellent product knowledge, efficiency, reliability and providing guests with the ultimate retail experience is a priority.

The job scope includes:

  1. Stock, load, cut and sort product in order to ensure maximum availability and department sales.
  2. Operate equipment (pallet jack, box cutters, dollies, cleaning supplies etc.) according to company guidelines.
  3. Efficiently handle computerized inventory that involves barcode scanners, pricing machines, calculators etc.
  4. Assist cashiers with price checks and product replacement.
  5. Arrange and maintain product displays with approval, stock shelves (refill) and take product inventory.
  6. Apply product knowledge while assisting colleagues and improve the same on a regular basis.
  7. Work on promotions and achieve set targets.
  8. Ensure a clean and safe environment.
  9. Stock shops and build and maintain displays.
  10. Assist in keeping front and back of house clean and mopping up spills etc.
  11. Answer department phone and provide assistance to callers.
  12. Maintain production counts by pallets and/or cases and assist with departmental ordering.
  13. Ensure all products displayed are properly displayed and labeled as per our brand standards.
  14. Assist in quarterly and yearly inventory counts.
  15. Perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time to meet the needs of the business.
  16. Be medically able to work in all weather conditions.
  17. Be physically able to carry/lift items, climb ladder etc.

To be considered for the role, you will need to have:

Job Essentials:

  1. Higher secondary or equivalent
  2. Moderate verbal communication skills
  3. Basic knowledge of cash handling skills
  4. Good communication skills

Job Desirables:

  1. Previous retail and/or warehousing experience
  2. Previous experience in merchandising and warehousing
  3. Any other language would be an advantage
  4. Previous cash handling skills
