A little taste of your day-to-day:

• Meet and greet all guests at the front of the Restaurant, ensuring the following:
  • Ensure the restaurant is ready to receive guests prior to opening
  • Ensure restaurant operating equipment is clean and in working order
  • Maintain impeccable uniform and personal presentation standards
  • Welcome guests to the Restaurant
  • Inquire if they have a reservation and note it in the reservation book
  • Create a reservation for them with their dining preferences if they do not
  • Be attentive to guest requests
• Escort guests to their preferred or reserved table according to restaurant standards
• Take telephone bookings and document in the Reservation book
• Train servers and runners as per SOP
• Be attentive to guests and resolve their complaints where possible
• Maintain cleanliness of hostess stations and menus
• Assist with food and beverage service as needed
• Maintain detailed knowledge of menu, including daily specials
• Ensure tables are cleared quietly and efficiently
• Carry food and beverage trays safely
• Complete dockets accurately
• Maintain current information on all general activities of the hotel
• Perform task-related administrative tasks
