Resident Engineer - InfraBuilding Project

The Resident Engineer will lead AECOM's construction supervision projects and act as the client's main point of contact advising on all engineering matters.

Job Duties

1. Leads the delivery (time cost quality) of assigned package.
2. Supervise and manage the contractors to ensure the works are constructed as per specification and to established milestone dates.
3. Manage and direct the supervision team to undertake day to day inspections of the works.
4. Maintain a very high level of Safety awareness and ensure the contractor complies with his obligations.
5. Resolves site issues on site.
6. Presents progress and package issues to client team.
7. Negotiates changes to the scope of work with the Client and key subcontractors.
8. Responsible for following up on instructions & commitments associated with the project.
9. Establishes Project Execution Plan, Health & Safety Plan, Quality Control Plan, and other documents.
10. Establishes the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors site staff performance.
11. Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project and the site team.
12. Assigns responsibility to key subordinates in their respective fields of expertise.
13. Provides input to performance reviews and develop plans for subordinates.
14. Establishes internal weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action items.
15. Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
16. Represent the company in all Client meetings.
17. Perform various engineering works and project/construction management for the project in Roads construction relevant.
18. Review and check technical deliverables.
19. Review construction programme specifications and cost estimates.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering field (i.e. Civil etc.).
2. Engineering charter ship will be advantageous.
3. Abu Dhabi Authorities understanding will be advantageous.

Experience

1. A minimum 20 years post graduate experience in the design site supervision of the projects with a broad infrastructure engineering background.
2. UAE experience required especially in Dubai.
