Reservation Manager

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the reservation department, ensuring efficient handling of bookings, cancellations, and modifications.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize room occupancy and revenue.
- Monitor reservation trends and implement proactive measures to address fluctuations in demand.
- Train reservation staff on booking procedures, customer service standards, and reservation system usage.
- Resolve escalated reservation issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Revenue Analysis
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and historical data to forecast demand and set pricing strategies.
- Utilize revenue management tools and systems to optimize room rates and inventory allocation.
- Prepare revenue reports and performance analysis for management review.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and packages.
- Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost-saving initiatives.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with other departments such as sales, marketing, and finance to align revenue strategies with overall business objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
- Participate in revenue meetings and contribute to discussions on pricing, distribution channels, and market positioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in reservation management and revenue analysis within the hospitality industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in revenue management software and MS Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
- Attention to detail and a strategic mindset.
- Knowledge of hotel reservation systems (e.g., Opera) is preferred.
