Research Assistant (Structural/Materials Engineering)

Job Description

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research assistant in Structural/Materials Engineering. The candidate should be knowledgeable of construction material characterization tests and structural analysis/design of reinforced concrete members. The candidate should be able to synthesize sustainable construction materials in the laboratory and conduct experiments for characterization and performance evaluation. The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with high GPA and should be willing to pursue a master’s in civil engineering at UAE University.

Minimum Qualification

1. A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with high GPA.
2. Willingness to pursue a master’s in civil engineering at UAE University.

Preferred Qualification

1. Academic tutoring experience.
2. Ability to use structural engineering software.
3. Ability to work independently and among a group.
4. Demonstrable initiative, commitment, and dedication in executing the role.
5. Adaptability and flexibility to changes associated with research demands.
6. Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace.
