Where does this role fit into the bigger picture?

The Foresight Research team within the Dubai Future Institute focuses on achieving the Dubai Future Foundation’s objective to be recognized as a leader in innovation through delivering evidence-based research and driving cutting-edge thinking. The team acts as the opinion-forming part of the business, underpinned by sound research that advances regional and international knowledge including collaboration with Dubai Government Entities and the World Economic Forum. Research is designed to focus on the next generation of initiatives that will shape the future of Dubai.

Research Analyst – Foresight

As a Dubai Future Foundation’s Research Analyst - Foresight, you are thorough, practice due-diligence and be proactive about further developing your own expertise. As a Research Analyst at the Dubai Future Foundation, you will play a critical role in developing and/or monitoring insights, signals, and trends, global and regional foresight research and multidisciplinary data-driven analysis. Your expertise will support the foresight research team in structuring, analyzing, and visualizing research and datasets related to emerging and future technologies, policy and regulatory trends, and socio-economic shifts, and contribute to high-impact research, and interactive knowledge platforms.

Data-driven Research

1. You will research and analyze trends, signals, and insights related to research areas of focus.
2. You will extract and synthesize large datasets, reports, and publications into concise, actionable insights.
3. You will support the development of tools that enhance data extraction and analysis.
4. You will assist in producing high-quality research reports, policy briefs, and data visualizations.

Third Party Relationships

1. You will build and maintain relationships with research institutions, think tanks, and technology partners.
2. You will attend and contribute to global foresight conferences, summits, and research forums.
3. You will support cross-sector research collaborations that leverage data analytics for future intelligence.

Who we are looking for?

1. You will have a Bachelors’ Degree in a relative field with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in research and data analytics.
2. You will be comfortable in designing and creating high quality presentations, have strong public speaking capabilities, and have advanced Microsoft Office knowledge.
3. You will be curious and consistent about keeping on top of the latest trends in your area of expertise both regionally and internationally.
4. You will be fluent in spoken and written English & Arabic.
5. You will be a team player and able to build strong relationships.
6. You will have strong critical analysis skills, attention to detail and be dedicated to achieving a high quality of work.
