Research Analyst for Internet, E-commerce, and AI in the Middle East Market

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated industry research analyst with a global perspective and a passion for the Middle East market. The role focuses on market and industry analysis in the fields of internet, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence (AI), providing critical support for investment decisions.

Responsibilities

1. Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on the development environment of the internet, e-commerce, and AI industries in the Middle East region, with a focus on the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and other Gulf countries. This includes analyzing policies, economic conditions, and socio-cultural factors to identify potential investment opportunities and risks. Regularly produce market analysis reports, track industry trends, and build and optimize industry databases.
2. Project Evaluation: Assist the investment team in screening potential projects. Conduct in-depth research and feasibility analyses on target companies, provide industry insights and valuation recommendations, and comprehensively evaluate companies from technical, market, and team perspectives.

Requirements

Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in finance, economics, computer science, artificial intelligence, or related fields.
2. Work Experience: At least 3 years of work experience. Prior experience in venture capital, internet, e-commerce, or AI in the Middle East market, or entrepreneurial experience in these fields, is a plus.
3. Language and Skills: Proficiency in both Chinese and English is required. Arabic language skills are a plus. Familiarity with data analysis tools (such as Excel, SQL) and research software (such as Bloomberg, Wind) is also a plus.
4. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the current status and trends of the internet, e-commerce, and AI industries in the Middle East. Ability to independently produce high-quality industry research reports and solve complex problems.
5. Other Requirements: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment, strong stress tolerance, and willingness to travel.
