Remote Video Editor

seeking a talented Remote Video Editor to join our expanding team.

Position Overview: As a Remote Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in our content
creation process. You will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into
a finished project that matches our vision and is suitable for broadcasting.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, possess strong technical
skills, and be proficient in using editing software.

Responsibilities:

1. Edit video content for various platforms including social media, websites, and other digital channels.
2. Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
3. Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
4. Create rough and final cuts ensuring the logical sequencing and smooth running of the project.
5. Colour grading videos in the color and contrast of images or video to achieve a stylistic look in DaVinci Resolve.
6. Consult with team from production to post-production process.
7. Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximize efficiency.
8. Collaborate with videographers, art directors, and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver results accordingly.

Requirements:

1. Proven work experience as a video editor.
2. Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages in Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve.
3. Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
4. Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
5. Creative mind and storytelling skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.
2. Experience with motion graphics and visual effects.
3. Familiarity with 3D rendering and compositing.
4. Knowledge of color grading and audio mixing techniques.
5. Familiarity with project management tools such as Zoho, Asana, Trello, or similar.
