Job description

Our client is a wealth management and investment advisory firm that helps create sustainable foundations for the preservation, growth, and succession of wealth. They are based in DIFC and regulated by DFSA.

The Relationship Manager is the primary point of contact between clients and the company. You will act as an ambassador for the firm externally and will be a role model internally. You will be responsible for the proactive management of a portfolio of High Net Worth/Ultra High Net Worth private clients. This includes the delivery of comprehensive wealth management solutions to meet the clients' needs as well as dealing with routine enquiries and transactions. Perform qualitative and quantitative research on relevant markets and investment funds in support of the wealth management fund platform and other investment activities within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to all client needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Providing appropriate investment advice in line with the firm's policy and asset allocation.
  • Ensuring consistently high levels of client satisfaction by matching the frequency and intensity of contact to the clients' preference.
  • Acquisition of new client relationships through own network and deepening existing client relationships.
  • Responsible for providing feedback from clients concerning products and services to the relevant individuals/departments within the firm to ensure continuous improvement and adaptation in line with market trends.
  • Comply with the firm's internal policies and practices, as well as all relevant DFSA rules and regulations.

Business Management:

  • Develop and implement new marketing strategies.
  • Embrace new processes and product initiatives.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as required by the Senior Executive Officer (SEO).
  • Foster discipline and good work practices.

DFSA Regulatory Responsibilities:

  • Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviors including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with DFSA's laws and regulations.
  • Observe proper standards of conduct in financial markets.
  • Deal with the DFSA in an open and cooperative manner and disclose appropriately any information of which the DFSA would reasonably be expected to be notified.
  • Additionally, you must take reasonable care to ensure that the business of the firm for which you are responsible is organized so that it can be managed and controlled effectively and complies with any legislation applicable as per the DFSA guideline.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Ability to relate to clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong knowledge of investment products, asset classes, wealth preservation strategies, and financial planning concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of DFSA regulatory compliance and risk management practices within the private banking industry.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with a keen ability to identify and capitalize on potential business opportunities.
  • Understand the immediate regional Global Wealth Strategy and the ability to plan own activities accordingly.

Qualification & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. An advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CFP) would be preferable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in private banking, wealth management, or investment advisory services.
  • Proven track record in managing high-net-worth clients and significant assets under management (AUM).
  • Proven and progressive financial services experience as a Relationship Manager.
  • Proven business development skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities to grow the private banking business.
  • Able to communicate well in English and local languages (preferably).
