The Relationship Manager - EDGE has to develop new business for a specific target market of High Net Worth Individuals and Business Professionals. List Multi-National Companies and Local Corporates in Bank's approved List and acquire Payrolls. Tracks and analyzes banking economic trends and makes appropriate recommendations to senior management. Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
Responsibilities
Prepare market studies for potential customers and existing competition to select best suitable action plan for the short and medium terms.
Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners needs and goals.
Understand the basic aspects of the market/industry and be able to apply this understanding while performing the day-to-day activities.
Apply basic concepts and techniques while selling products targeted at predetermined needs of the customers.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Perform any other duties or responsibilities that are consistent with the role as assigned by management.
Responsible for all relationships within his/her portfolio including but not limited to the money laundering, financing of terrorism and sanctions risks associated with each customer.
Always acts in the best interest of CBI to highlight any concerns related to a customer's personal and / or financial behaviors and activities.
Responsible for ensuring that all actions required by Internal / External Audit are completed in a timely manner; and where any actions are passed their agreed due date, these should have explicit and minuted approvals from the CEO.
Takes ownership of exiting and / or restricting business relationships with existing, new clients or categories of clients where required, to avoid additional risk within own portfolio and across Segment books in general.
Completes any actions required in relation to External Compliance; CBUAE and / or Compliance requests / interactions in line with the agreed timelines.
Manages any actions and requests received by Internal compliance, in adherence to SOP, Policy, DOA, Corporate Governance and Brand guidelines against all agreed timeframes. In cases managed outside of the deadline, validation of all resolutions must be sought by the Head of Centralized Controls & Governance.
Education:
University degree in related field Professional /
Experience:
5-6 years business development experience in same field.
