The Department of Electrical Engineering (ELE) in the College of Engineering at American University of Sharjah (AUS) invites applications for a regular or visiting faculty position, preferably at the assistant or associate professor level, commencing in Spring 2025.
The successful candidate for the regular position will be expected to establish a high-level, active research program supported by internal and external funding sources. The visiting faculty position is primarily focused on teaching. The visiting position is a one-year renewable contract and the regular position is a three-year renewable contract.
The applicant is required to have a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, with preferably a focus in the area of control engineering and good hands-on experience. Expertise in the areas of:

The Department of Electrical Engineering has approximately 205 undergraduate students, 43 graduate students, 15 full-time faculty, and 4 lab instructors. Faculty and students represent very diverse backgrounds and nationalities; approximately 90 nationalities are present on campus. The department offers a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
