Job Description

* GULF CENTER search has been mandated to hire a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for the European region (Eastern), Africa, America (South), and the Indian sub-continent specializing in the cosmetics industry.

* The RSM will lead and manage the sales channel across the designated region, driving sales performance, building strong relationships with key retail chains, and ensuring effective execution of sales strategies.

* This role is crucial for expanding our brand presence and achieving revenue growth in the assigned segment.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy and Execution:
    Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and regional sales growth objectives.
  2. Develop sustained relationships with top customers to maintain open lines of information and support, influence business plans, and proactively identify and take action on any competitive threats.
  3. Identify new business opportunities and potential markets to expand the brand's footprint.
  4. Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  5. Collaborate with the team to align sales initiatives with brand campaigns.

Customer Relationship Management:

  1. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, retailers, distributors, and partners within the region.
  2. Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to ensure mutually beneficial terms.
  3. Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving any issues or concerns promptly and efficiently.
  4. Develop and execute strategies to increase customer loyalty and retention.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

  1. Provide regular sales forecasts, market analysis, and reports to management on performance and trends.
  2. Use sales data and customer insights to drive informed business decisions.
  3. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess performance and market penetration.

Market Expansion and Brand Visibility:

  1. Identify and develop opportunities for expanding the brand's market presence in new areas or channels.
  2. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to execute promotions and events.
  3. Work with the marketing team to ensure consistent brand messaging and visibility in retail locations.

Budget and Cost Management:

  1. Manage the regional sales budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources for maximum return on investment.
  2. Monitor and control expenditures related to sales activities, promotions, and operations.

Product Knowledge and Training:

  1. Stay up-to-date with product innovations, market trends, and the competitive landscape in the beauty and cosmetics industry.
  2. Provide product training to sales teams and key customers to ensure they are knowledgeable about the brand's offerings.

Team Leadership and Management:

  1. Build, lead, train, and motivate the regional sales team to achieve and exceed sales goals.
  2. Provide coaching and guidance to sales representatives to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
  3. Set clear individual and team targets, and monitor performance against goals.
  4. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Qualification:

Master’s / Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Work Expertise:

10 years continuous experience in sales with a minimum of 5 years in the cosmetics industry. Minimum of 3 years of experience as District Sales Manager/Area Sales Manager or a minimum of 2 years as Key Account Manager. Proficiency with MS Office in a Windows environment and familiarity with sales tracking and reporting software.

Skills:

Adheres to organizations' performance management policies & procedures. Acts as a role model for high performance being a self-starter. Displays versatility and adaptability at many different tasks and processes. Invests time in strategic planning. Advocates for the customer, representing customer interests within company business planning, and ensuring that a customer-oriented perspective is the touchstone for decision making. Troubleshoots pipeline aberrations, focusing KAM time on highest-value activities.
