Job description

The Regional Manager will lead sales efforts in the life sciences, cold chain, and pharmaceutical logistics sectors within the assigned region. The primary focus will be to increase market share, drive revenue growth, and build lasting client relationships. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery of logistics solutions that meet the complex needs of clients in regulated industries.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Strategy and Execution:

Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand the company's market share in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, and cold chain logistics.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region, including prospecting, lead generation, and closing sales.

Develop customized logistics solutions for clients based on their specific needs for temperature-controlled, time-sensitive, and regulatory-compliant transportation and warehousing.

Team Leadership and Management:

Lead, manage, and mentor the regional sales team to ensure alignment with overall company goals and achievement of individual and team sales targets.

Provide regular coaching, performance reviews, and support to the sales team, identifying opportunities for development and improvement.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales team, encouraging innovation and proactive problem-solving.

Set clear goals, expectations, and KPIs for team members and ensure accountability for results.

Conduct sales training sessions to keep the team updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and product offerings.

Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in pharmaceutical, biotech, and life science companies.

Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering solutions to improve their supply chain efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SFDA, GDP).

Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide ongoing support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Market Research and Analysis:

Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify emerging opportunities in the life science and cold chain logistics sectors.

Provide insights and feedback to senior management regarding market conditions and competitive positioning.

Analyze regional sales performance, generate reports, and adjust strategies as needed to optimize results.

Collaboration with Internal Teams:

Work closely with operations, customer service, and marketing teams to ensure seamless delivery of logistics services and meet client expectations.

Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, sales presentations, and campaigns targeting key market segments.

Coordinate with the operations team to ensure the proper execution of service delivery based on client requirements, especially in terms of temperature-sensitive logistics.

Budget and Forecasting:

Develop and manage the regional sales budget, ensuring that revenue and profitability targets are met.

Prepare accurate sales forecasts and provide regular updates to senior management on pipeline and sales progress.

Track sales metrics, monitor KPIs, and recommend adjustments to ensure continued growth and success in the region.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, logistics (life sciences, or a related field is a plus).

Experience: 5+ years of sales experience, preferably within the life sciences, cold chain, or pharma logistics sectors.

Proven Success: Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of life sciences and pharmaceutical logistics, especially cold chain management.

Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proficiency in CRM software, MS office and sales analytics (power BI).

Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within the region.
