Position Overview:
The Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for spearheading business growth strategies across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, and Jordan. This role entails identifying and engaging with the right distributors, negotiating contractual terms, setting clear sales and marketing objectives, and working closely with partners to ensure NCH brands are well-positioned across multiple channels. The ideal candidate will possess strong market analysis, P&L ownership, strategic planning, and negotiation skills, combined with a hands-on approach to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Expansion & Distributor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, onboard and manage the right distribution partners for each country, ensuring strong brand representation and effective market penetration.
- Conduct in-depth market assessments to evaluate business potential and identify optimal distribution channels (pharmacies, nutraceuticals, tenders, e-commerce, etc.).
- Set and drive business growth strategies to expand market share and optimize revenue streams in the assigned region.
- Travel across target markets for distributor engagement and quarterly business reviews to ensure performance objectives are met.
Strategic Pricing & Market Analysis:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies tailored to each country, factoring in market dynamics, competitor benchmarks, and distribution channels.
- Monitor and evaluate competitive landscapes, ensuring NCH’s brands maintain a strong market position and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Leverage data-driven insights to adjust business strategies in response to changing customer needs and market trends.
P&L Ownership & Financial Management:
- Take full ownership of the P&L, driving profitability by optimizing cost efficiencies and maximizing revenue streams.
- Lead budget planning and forecasting, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and financial strategies.
- Collaborate with finance teams to develop financial models that support sustainable growth in each market.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Identify and establish relationships with key stakeholders, distributors, and strategic partners across the region.
- Work closely with internal marketing, sales, regulatory, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of business strategies.
- Work closely with principals to ensure country-level targets align with their growth plans. Provide regular business updates, conduct structured business reviews, and manage regional discussions to drive alignment, optimize performance, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, business laws, and trade policies in the respective markets.
Brand Representation & Business Reporting:
- Represent NCH at trade shows, industry events, and business forums to enhance brand visibility and market presence.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, outlining market insights, strategic recommendations, and performance analysis.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, distributor management, or international sales within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or FMCG sector.
- Strong experience in contract negotiation, pricing strategies, and financial forecasting.
- Deep understanding of regional market dynamics across Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen, and Jordan.
- Proven ability to analyze market trends, develop go-to-market strategies, and execute effective growth initiatives.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region for distributor engagement and business development.
