Job Overview

Weatherford is seeking a skilled and experienced R&M Jar Technician II to join our team in the Oil & Energy industry. This hands-on role involves utilizing our facilities, equipment, machinery, and systems to perform inspection, repair, and maintenance tasks on field tools. The successful candidate will be responsible for dismantling, repairing, and refurbishing tools using technical manuals, procedures, and work instructions. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Dismantle, assemble, repair, and service the tools using technical manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
  2. Perform inspection, repair, and maintenance tasks on field tools.
  3. Utilize facilities, equipment, machinery, and systems to carry out assigned tasks.
  4. Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
  5. Diagnose issues and problems with tools/equipment (for senior roles).
  6. Perform maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and monitoring of equipment.

Skills

  1. Proficiency in basic mathematics.
  2. Knowledge of working with hazardous materials, radioactive elements, and explosives.
  3. Familiarity with NDT, NDE, and ATEX policies and principles.
  4. Strong critical thinking, active learning, listening, and complex problem-solving skills.
  5. Excellent reading, writing, judgment, and decision-making abilities to align with policies and procedures.
  6. Effective time management skills.
  7. Capability to meet the physical demands of the role.
  8. Ability to anticipate potential problems and understand solutions.
  9. Proficiency in operating tools and machinery efficiently and effectively.
  10. Ability to visualize how tools and products will look when preparing for assembly, repair, or modifications.

Qualifications

  1. 2-4+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  2. High School Diploma and basic computer skills are required for this position.
  3. Relevant training and competence certifications based on the level of the role.
