Quantity Surveyor - ID Fit Out

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with expertise in fit-out projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to interior fit-out works, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards. You will work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to provide cost estimates, manage procurement, and ensure accurate financial control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for estimating, tendering, and various post-contract activities for engineering projects especially interior fit-out and FF & E works.
2. Reviews of drawings, specifications, and other tender documents.
3. Prepares/checks Bill of Quantities issued with the specifications and prepares project scope of works and cost estimates.
4. Assess tenders and review contracts.
5. Estimates material requirements for the project and prepares sub-contractor packages.
6. Review and analyze subcontractor’s quotations and prepare a comparison sheet of rates from different suppliers.
7. Prepares tender submission documents.
8. During the job execution stage, responsible for the submittal for Consultant’s approval, prepares purchase orders, and coordinates with the Procurement Department.
9. Coordinates with the Consultants, various Subcontractors, and Suppliers with respect to drawings, specifications, quantities, and prices for the most effective production.
10. Identifies variations due to changes in design/deviation from the original tender drawings and preparation of variation orders with proper support documents in order to get approval from the Consultant/PMT.
11. Prepares estimates for additional works and proposals for the same.
12. Prepares payment certificates and incorporates the approved variations.
13. Performs related duties as directed.
14. Preparing Payment Certificates for Subcontractors.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the fit-out or construction industry.
2. Strong understanding of cost management, budgeting, and financial control for fit-out projects.
3. Knowledge of construction materials, labor rates, and the fit-out process.
4. Experience with cost estimation software and MS Excel for financial analysis.
5. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
6. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Experience in both commercial and residential fit-out projects is a plus.
