Quantity Surveyor

We are currently looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and contractual elements of construction projects. This includes preparing accurate measurements, estimating costs, handling payments, and ensuring compliance with financial guidelines. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in construction projects and proven experience working within the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare detailed measurement sheets and bills of quantities for construction projects.
2. Develop and submit Interim Payment Applications (IPAs) and progress claims.
3. Calculate and verify quantities for ongoing construction tasks as required.
4. Review and validate subcontractor measurements and payment requests.
5. Assess material requirements for construction activities to avoid shortages or delays.
6. Prepare cost estimates and forecasts to support project budgeting.
7. Scrutinize and ensure accuracy in measurements performed by the QS team.
8. Compile and organize progress updates for Monthly Progress Reports.
9. Verify costs for completed tasks and provide weekly summaries from Daily Progress Reports.
10. Collaborate with project managers and site engineers to ensure accurate cost monitoring.
11. Identify potential risks related to project budgets and provide solutions to mitigate them.

Key Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the UAE.
3. Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, and cost control techniques.
4. Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools, including AutoCAD and MS Office Suite.
5. Knowledge of UAE construction laws, regulations, and standards.
6. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with great attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and negotiation abilities to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
