Organize and develop special programs related to quality control and manage Customs’ ISO9001:2000, ISO 10002 and SA 8000, maintenance and recertification activities, to ensure the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the systems.
Schedule, deploy and report Quality, Complaints Handling and Social Accountability Management Systems’ Internal Audits, to monitor the system’s functions.
Follow up on the initiation of corrective and preventive actions to resolve non-conformities found during internal audits.
Develop and maintain a Quality Standards Manual for easy reference to the standards for ensuring high-quality services.
Review new processes in Dubai Customs, in coordination with the Business Process Department, to ensure compliance with adopted Standards.
Introduce and implement new ISO Standards as and when required to ensure continuous improvement.
Implement awareness training sessions in the fields of quality, social accountability, and complaints handling requirements, so that all employees are updated with current standards and procedures.
Establish and implement an action plan for closing all external audit findings and its corrective action requirements with clear responsibilities assigned to ensure maintaining certification.
Conduct follow-up audits to make necessary changes for the betterment of Dubai Customs’ operations.
Report on activities related to the quality system to the direct supervisor and the people who require it, to keep employees informed about the quality of work being rendered and changes to be made if required.
Plan and prepare for the Management Review Meeting regarding quality, complaints handling, and social accountability to make the meeting productive.
Coordinate Quality Assurance programs with various departments of Dubai Customs and federal agencies, and establish good working relationships to maintain continued accreditation.
Research best practices to evaluate Quality standards in the operations of Dubai Custom Departments and perform duties in accordance with organization policies and procedures.
Contribute quality assurance-related information for making the annual strategic and operational plan for the Strategic and Excellence department and for other departments in Dubai Customs and implement the plans made.
Perform all the assigned tasks from the line manager with reliability, honesty, and discretion.
