Job description

The Quality Officer is responsible for the efficient and effective coordination and implementation of quality management systems and EHS/OSH related improvement activities.


In addition, the position holder is responsible for understanding, formulating and producing statistical data in terms of the healthcare facility's Key Performance Indicators.


Key Responsibilities
Quality Improvement:
  1. Plan, implement, and coordinate continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  2. Measure and monitor outcomes to drive improvements.
Team Collaboration
  1. Maintain productive working relationships with team members.
  2. Act as a resource for staff seeking to implement quality improvement activities.
Patient Care
  1. Assist in providing high-quality patient care aimed at improving health outcomes.
  2. Encourage staff to review and improve work practices.
Education And Compliance
  1. Ensure staff awareness of quality systems and internal procedures through education sessions.
  2. Conduct training on fire, evacuation, and disaster procedures.
Clinical Teaching
  1. Participate in clinical teaching and oversee learning experiences for new and less experienced staff.
Accreditation Standards
  1. Ensure compliance with local and international standards and accreditation bodies.
  2. Coordinate with departments to meet environment of care standards.
Strategic Implementation
  1. Apply strategies from the organization's strategic plan within the department.
  2. Manage controlled documentation and asset implementation related to quality and EHS management.
Occupational Health And Safety
  1. Actively promote and participate in occupational health, safety, and welfare programs.
  2. Instruct safety education and develop training curricula to ensure staff readiness.
Hazardous Waste Management
  1. Oversee the hazardous waste management program in accordance with government regulations.
Functional Improvement Monitoring
  1. Monitor and proctor functional improvement initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred with clinical background.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a clinical setting, with experience in Healthcare Audits and Data Validation.
  3. Skills:
  4. An understanding of continuous quality improvement planning.
  5. Knowledge of accreditation.
  6. Demonstrates strong interaction and communication skills.
  7. Strong command of English language oral and written.
Certifications: Certification in Healthcare Quality, or a related area is an advantage.
