Quality Manager- Structural Steel

Our Client is one of the pioneers in the Structural Steel Fabrication business segment with over 20 years of establishment in the UAE. We are recruiting for a Quality Manager who will be responsible for leading the QA team across its Structural Steel fabrication business to be based in Dubai, UAE.

Salary: 20,000 AED + Family status

Responsibilities

• Leading the QA/QC department and providing guidance with reference to the codes and standards.
• Technical review of the Project specification during bidding & before execution and assisting the Sales team related to technical clarification during bidding.
• Preparation of project-specific Inspection and Test Plans, Quality Procedures related to welding and coating, and Project Quality Plans.
• Preparation of audit plans and audit schedules for the internal audits within the organization.
• Reviewing the audit findings and preparing audit reports and NCRs if any.
• Attending the Weekly Quality Meetings & Progress meetings along with clients.
• Preparing the QMS, FPC, WMS, AISC & ISO Audit related documents and attending external audits.
• Conducting WQT, WPQR and generating WPS, WPQR & WQT Certificates.
• Monitoring an efficient system, recording project activities, and analyzing all processes to ensure all work meets quality requirements.
• Conducting meetings along with Subcontractors, Suppliers, Service Providers & Manufacturers for technical matters.
• Recruiting for positions related to the Quality Control Inspector and calculating the monthly department overhead cost.
• Managing all work methods, maintaining quality assurance standards, monitoring continuous application for all quality assurance processes, and recommending corrective actions for all operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil/Structural or related Engineering.
• Must have a minimum of 15+ years of experience in Quality Management within the Steel Fabrication business segment in UAE, of which at least 10+ years in a managerial role.
• The ideal candidate must have experience in UAE.
