Job Description:
Indus International seeks a dynamic and seasoned leader in quality enhancement and cost-effective throughput. This role requires effective communication skills to collaborate with clients and team members while ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Excellence & Quality Control:
- Conceptualize the process excellence and quality management strategy that is aligned to achievement of business objectives across the organization.
- Align the process and product quality strategies to the business needs across the value chain.
- Set direction for TQM, TPM, and Sustainable Development initiatives in the organization.
- Set direction of the overall quality and performance measures for different businesses in the organization and ensure adherence to the same.
Guidelines for Process & Product Quality:- Create guidelines for process and product quality in partnership with the relevant departments.
- Define the acceptable quality standards for process and product metrics in line with overall customer requirements.
- Create frameworks for driving focus on aspects of process and product quality standard adherence throughout the organization.
- Define key metrics and measurement mechanisms for monitoring of key process and product standards.
Process Management/Quality Improvement:- Develop a Total Quality culture; devise company guidelines and roadmaps at SSWL.
- In consultation with management, identify the business processes for optimization and improvement. Initiate and monitor such projects.
- Lead and set direction for various Quality interventions like TQM, TPM, Six Sigma, PFMEA, IATF, ISO 14001, ISO 18001, control Plan, etc.
- Responsible for Quality Assurance at all process controls (Product & process audits, closure of NC's by PDCA approach to sustain the robust quality systems).
Functional Leadership:- Ensure communication and monitor the compliance of company policies and guidelines. Liaise with functional and operational leaders to develop and execute continuous quality improvement projects.
- Approve the budget associated with the process and product quality initiatives for the organization. Control the quality control expenses (include consumables, gauges, etc.).
- Develop a periodic quality review process so that new ideas and technologies are incorporated into the quality management.
Best Practices & Industry Benchmarks:- Have best-in-class quality interventions. Determine, negotiate, and agree on in-house quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Map the best practices from across the industry and customize them for implementation within SSWL.
- Liaise with industry bodies to appreciate world-class practices and evaluate the implementation of the same within the organization.
- Customer interactions and visits to understand customer expectations.
People Management:- Perform the role of a people manager for the entire function.
- Review and monitor performance of the team on an ongoing basis and provide requisite developmental support/inputs.
Qualification:
Bachelor of Engineering + 9-17 years in HVAC, Automobile, Machining Process/Quality Control/Quality Assurance/Quality Systems.
Must have Skills:
- International quality standards like VDA, IATF, JIS, Q1, etc.
- Knowledge on casting, machining & painting methods/process.
- Systems like TPM, TQM, LEAN & various quality systems.
- Knowledge of SPC, PPAC, Control Plan, FMEA, Poka yoke, 7 QC tools, MSA & other latest quality management systems, tools & techniques.
- Knowledge of gauges, calibration systems and tools, latest systems, methods, and tools for internal audit.
- Leadership & Team building ability.
- Forward-planning and strategy.
- Problem-solving skills.
Basic Facilities:
Performance Incentive: You will be eligible for the yearly performance-based incentive up to 3 months salary as per Company's policy at the end of the financial year.
Medical: You will be provided free basic medical treatment for yourself as per Company's policy.
Annual Leave: You will be given 30 days paid leave for each completed year of service subject to your confirmation to services on completion of the probation period.
Increments: You will be eligible for annual salary increment on completion of a minimum of 9 months of service at the close of the Company's financial year.
Gratuity: You will be eligible for Gratuity on completion of 5 years of continuous service.
Contract Period: The first and each subsequent contract will be valid for a 2-year period from residence visa stamping date which can be further renewed with mutual discussion and agreement.
Probation Period: You will be on probation for a period of 6 months from the date of joining/reporting.
Weekly off & Holidays: Weekly off will be on Sunday and other public holidays as per Company's policy.
