Job description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement quality control processes, procedures, and policies to ensure that products or services meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Monitor and analyze data related to quality control processes, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Perform audits of quality control processes, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for corrective action.
  • Use knowledge and experience of building complex IT systems to evangelize, consult with, mentor, and audit high-value programs and projects.

Functional

  • Ensure that new technologies and systems are thoroughly tested and validated before deployment.
  • Establish quality policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization.

People Management

  • Lead the project team to provide guidance, coaching, and support as needed.
  • Communicate with other teams, departments, and stakeholders to ensure that quality control processes are aligned with business objectives.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure that deliverables meet established quality standards.
  • Train team members on quality control processes, procedures, and policies, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement new products or services, ensuring that quality control processes are integrated into the development process.

Education/Certification and Continued Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or business.

Years of Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in quality control or a related field.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve business objectives.
  • ISO 9001/TickIT, BS 15000/ITIL, and CMMI level 2/3 certification preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes, procedures, and policies.
