A Quality Inspector performs an array of functions including but not limited to performing Quality and Engineering inspections of products and components. This position is located at PT Tech and Torsion Control Products, a Timken subsidiary located in Wadsworth and Seville, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Enabling and disabling the inspection demands for incoming products.
• Performing dimensional, geometric, and cosmetic quality inspections with coordinate measuring systems, basic hand gauges, and ascertaining compliance to stated specifications.
• Managing nonconformance discoveries and following established processes for segregation, quarantine, reaction plan, and final disposition.
• Monitoring supplier complaints and corrective actions to reduce NCMs and improve the PT Tech Business Quality Management System with SQD Process.
• Improving the effectiveness of our processes and quality objectives.
• Creating, maintaining, and publishing quality metrics and statistics to the team conducting supplier evaluations.
• Performing internal QMS audits as a qualified auditor.

Qualifications

Associates degree.
Proficient in Microsoft and SAP.
3 - 5 years' experience with inspection or quality auditing.
Familiar with measurement software.
