Job description

Job Overview

The Job Holder is responsible for the delivery of high quality product by monitor production for compliance with Quality and Food Safety Management Systems, customer requirements and regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Conduct weekly GMP and 5S Audits and follow up with the Departments to address deviations.
  2. Inspect Plant hygiene and sanitation, waste disposal area and take accurate and timely measures to address non-conformances.
  3. Assist QA HSE in selection of company for pest control services and maintain pest control contracts.
  4. Draw pest control schedule and coordinate with pest control Services Company to organize pest control in the company and labor accommodation and monitor pest control activity in the company.
  5. Maintain pest control records.
  6. Conduct GFI supplier audits and present recommendations to the Quality Manager
  7. Investigate accidents and incidents, update records and implement proper corrective measures to control the accidents and incidents.
  8. Participate in internal ISO 9001, ISO 22000 Audits and follow up with concerned Department to close the non-conformances.
  9. Liaise with municipality to resolve non-conformances highlighted.
  10. Monitor plant and store temperature at regular intervals and conduct random inspections during the shift to ascertain product quality.
  11. Schedule and supervise the activities of the Cleaners and Laundry staff
  12. Supervise the daily work of QA HSE Assistants and train them regularly.
  13. Assess Operations staff uniform requirements, cleaning tools and chemicals requirement and initiate orders with the approval of Quality Manager
  14. Assist Quality Manager in preparation of QMS manual and other documents as per regulatory and statutory requirements.
  15. Train employees on GHP.
  16. Conduct Root Cause Analysis of the Customer Complaints and follow up with the concerned Department to close the complaints on time.
  17. Assist Quality Manager in technical interviews of new staff in lab and Skill Gap Analysis of the QA HSE Assistants, Cleaners and Laundry staff.
  18. Coordinate with HR to arrange for internal and external training.
  19. Handle employee grievances and disciplinary issues, as per HR Policies & Procedures, and escalate these to the Department Head as and when required.
  20. Coach each direct report for personal development and performance against their work plan.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Food Technology/PG Degree
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain processes (Farm to Fork)
  • Knowledge of Auditing Techniques
  • Knowledge of Risk Management
  • Product knowledge
  • Knowledge of quality, food safety, halal and BRC requirements
  • Excellent Verbal, Written, Reading Skills in English
  • Able to deliver training to staff
