Quality Control Engineer- Façade

We are currently recruiting for Quality Control Engineer- Faade for our client to be based out of their Abu Dhabi Office.

Responsibilities:

1. QC Facade Engineer specializes in ensuring the quality and compliance of building facades during construction.
2. Their role focuses on overseeing the design, material selection, fabrication, and installation of exterior facade systems to ensure they meet both technical and safety standards.
3. Review facade design drawings and specifications to confirm they meet structural, aesthetic, and performance requirements.
4. Ensure that all materials and products used in facade construction are tested for durability, weather resistance, fire safety, and other performance criteria.
5. Conduct regular inspections during the installation of facade systems to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
6. Identify any defects, discrepancies, or non-conformities in materials or work processes during construction and report them.
7. Work closely with contractors and subcontractors to resolve issues on-site, ensuring that corrective actions are taken to meet the required quality.
8. Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, approvals, and non-conformance reports. This includes ensuring that all documentation is properly archived for regulatory compliance.
9. Conduct final inspections and ensure the facade system meets all requirements before it is officially handed over.
10. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of the facade installation.
11. Communicate with clients to report on quality status, potential risks, and project updates.
12. Provide guidance and training to the project team regarding quality standards, best practices, and facade-specific requirements.

Skills:

1. In-depth knowledge of facade systems, construction techniques, and materials such as glass, aluminum, curtain walls, cladding, etc.
2. Ability to identify potential issues and non-compliance with design specifications early in the project.
3. Ability to solve complex construction and design issues while maintaining quality standards.
