QS & Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled QS & Estimation Engineer with 6 to 8 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender evaluations to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control for projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and tender documents for Oil & Gas construction projects.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and verify project costs in coordination with the engineering team.
• Evaluate vendor quotations, material costs, and subcontractor pricing for cost-effective project execution.
• Perform cost analysis and risk assessments to optimize project budgets.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to ensure compliance with cost estimates.
• Prepare progress reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost variance analysis.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and project teams to ensure cost-effective execution.
• Assist in contract negotiations and pricing strategies for tenders and bids.
• Ensure compliance with UAE industry standards, Oil & Gas regulations, and company policies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in QS and estimation, specifically in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of construction cost estimation, tendering processes, and contract management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, and other estimation software.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Previous experience in the UAE or GCC region is preferred.
