To implement and maintain quality, health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. To monitor compliance, conduct audits, and promote a culture of safety and quality throughout the organization.

The role is based in Abu Dhabi. Frequent travel to Iraq is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a coach, leading and coordinating site activities related to Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES) communication and training.
  • Prepare and deliver communications on HSES topics.
  • Provide inductions for new employees, ensuring they are aware of risks related to their roles and activities.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce health and safety policies and procedures. Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and safety training sessions to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with QHSE standards and regulations. Identify non-conformities and work with relevant departments to address and resolve issues.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, including root cause analysis. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
  • Act as Duty Officer acting as the first point of contact for any incidents or emergencies, coordinating response actions, and ensuring proper reporting.
  • Ensure that quality management systems are effectively implemented and maintained. Monitor and evaluate quality metrics and performance and recommend improvements to enhance product and service quality.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of QHSE standards, particularly ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Ability to conduct detailed audits and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coach and educate personnel on HSE best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills, particularly in incident analysis and root cause investigation.
  • Knowledge of environmental management systems and sustainability practices, including Carbon Footprint assessment.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field (Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience in HSE management, with a focus on auditing and incident management.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Hindi or French is a plus.
