Job Title : QC Welding Inspector

Location : Dubai

Salary : Depends Upon Experience

Main Responsibilities :

1. Inspect and evaluate welding operations and procedures for compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
2. Perform visual inspections of welded joints to ensure quality and integrity.
3. Review welding procedures and ensure adherence to required specifications and codes.
4. Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI), and dye penetrant inspection (DPI).
5. Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation of welding inspections.
6. Collaborate with the welding team and management to resolve quality issues and improve welding practices.
7. Monitor and control welding parameters such as heat input, welding speed, and material specifications.
8. Ensure welding operations comply with client specifications, contract requirements, and safety standards.
9. Assist in the selection of welding methods and materials to optimize the quality of welds.

Essential Qualifications :

1. High School Diploma or equivalent; formal education or certification in Welding Technology, Quality Control, or a related field is preferred.
2. Certification as a Welding Inspector (e.g., AWS CWI, CSWIP, or equivalent).
3. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in welding inspection, preferably in the oil & gas, construction, or manufacturing industry.

Skills Required :

1. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, codes, and standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, API).
2. Expertise in various NDT methods such as UT, RT, MPI, and DPI.
3. Familiarity with welding procedures and the ability to verify compliance with specifications.
4. Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot welding defects.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
6. Good communication skills for interacting with the welding team, management, and clients.
7. Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate inspection records and reports.
8. Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to ensure compliance with safety standards during welding operations.
