Job Description
Oversee the Quality Control (QC) processes for Oil & Gas projects, ensuring compliance with the project’s quality requirements and industry standards.
Manage and supervise welding, NDT, and coating/painting inspections and quality checks, ensuring all work complies with the project specifications.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, and procurement teams to ensure quality control processes are fully integrated throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform inspections and tests to monitor and control quality and conduct audits to verify compliance with quality management systems (ISO 9001).
Conduct Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), including RT (Radiographic Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing), MT (Magnetic Particle Testing), and PT (Penetrant Testing), ensuring all inspections and results are documented correctly.
Review and approve inspection reports, non-conformance reports, and quality records to ensure they are accurate and meet the required standards.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to teams, offering solutions for resolving quality-related issues and improving quality processes.
Ensure the ISO 9001 Lead Auditor principles are followed during internal and external quality audits.
Mentor and train junior QC engineers and staff to ensure adherence to quality standards and continual improvement.
Prepare and submit quality reports, inspections, and other relevant documentation to project management and senior leadership.
Work closely with vendors and subcontractors to ensure the quality of materials and workmanship.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor of mechanical or metallurgical engineering, or other relevant engineering degree.
ASNT Level II in RT, UT, MT, and PT.
CSWIP 3.2 or AWS-CWI or another acceptable equivalent (approved by COMPANY).
Having a total experience of min. 15 years in the Oil & Gas Projects.
Strong experience in welding, NDT, and coating / painting.
Strong supervisory, coordination, and reporting skills.
