QA Test Engineer

Job Purpose: To test development work, and systems integration, provide rapid turnaround of minor enhancements testing, and new innovation experiments and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
2. Identify and analyze test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements, and design test coverage plans.
3. Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts (test data, data validation, harness scripts, and automated scripts).
4. Execute and evaluate automated test cases and report test results.
5. Identify potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues.
6. Assist in test solution in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability, and compatibility with other legacy and/or external systems.
7. Assist in ensuring all testing is well defined, planned, and executed; ensure every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and meets design specifications and requirements.
8. Collaborate with developers and users to optimize testing, defect isolation, and defect tracking.
9. Identify all potential issues and ensure that they are corrected before the product goes live.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. At least 5 years' experience in Information Technology, with at least 5 years' experience in quality assurance / testing roles.
2. Bachelor's Degree in computer science or engineering.
3. ISTQB/CSTE/CSQA/CAST/CMSQ or similar.
4. Solid working knowledge of a range of automated tools appropriate for Digital Applications including Mobile & Platform Applications like Core Banking & cards.
5. Must have testing experience: SIT, API, UAT, Automation.
6. Good to have: PT or Security Testing.

Skills:

1. Adept with common programming languages.
2. Practiced with Functional, Regression, Integration, Acceptance, and Performance testing, APIs and Microservices.
3. Skilled with development, scripting, and frameworks – Quality Gating, TDD, BDD, Agile, DevOps, Platform Engineering, Reliability Engineering.
