Job Description

Dutco Construction Group started operations in the United Arab Emirates in the 1970s. We employ more than 10,000 people, making us one of the largest construction companies in the region with an extensive track record in large-scale projects including power stations, reservoirs, hotels, airport infrastructure and port development. Dutco Construction is looking to recruit an experienced QA QC Engineer to work on Marine infrastructure Projects across Residential / Villas and Retail Sectors. Projects are valued between AED 300m to 800m.

Duties

We require an experienced QA QC Engineer who has worked on similar valued Projects for Tier 1 / Tier 2 Main Contractors. Duties will include:

• Responsible for quality control and inspection in all construction activities including soil excavation and earth works, concrete works, block works, structural steel works and roofing, roads and paving, tank pads and bunds and general activities associated with civil and building works.
• Shall be thoroughly familiar with civil construction materials and construction methods, testing of civil construction materials, international codes and standards for civil design, construction and testing of materials and works.
• Possess skills in direct coordination with the Consultant Material Engineer/Structural Engineer.
• Understand and review all specified standards and contract specifications.
• Ability to prepare, review, and issue monthly QA/QC reports and material submittals, as well as preparation of method statements and ITPs.
• Able to assist in performing offsite/onsite tests required under the contract, calibration of lab equipment, testing, and commissioning.
• Compile project closeout reports, testing and commissioning procedures, O&M manuals, and as-built drawings.
• Flexibility to use software, understanding tech standards, making bridge gap analysis between project and international standards.
• Preparation of progress reporting and drafting weekly reports.

Desired Candidate Profile

UAE/MOFA Attested Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related fields. Minimum 5 to 10 years work experience in Marine projects preferably from a Tier 1 / Tier 2 Contracting Company. Projects worked on, as QA QC Engineer should be in excess of AED 300m, managing significantly large packages and scope of works.
